In most cases, I find healing to be incredibly lackluster. Let’s use Dahla’s amulet as an example. You have to hold still while channeling, and the amount that it heals is very poor. There is never a situation where I would want to hold myself still while channeling for 3 secs because damage outpaces the amount of healing received from it. I feel like the general strategy is to disengage, heal up, and go back in, which is fine. You can do that with normal healing consumables. This leaves the amulet and other healing skills in a weird place where they aren’t particularly effective.
so the channel needs DR?
do you channel to get frost armor before spire starts?
healing ward has 30 HP heal 100 over 3.5 sec ( or its per sec
) with ~1.5 second cast time
125 for healing ~ 1 second
amuylet is a team heral for 75 per second that lasts for 5 seconds and the cooldown starts when u start the channel
can haver this team heal on 3 second downtime. if u uce the fire passive. or reset crown and thats alot of uptime
or you get varton paybnack crown and another to geth the +50% to hjjealing and they judst kill themselves trying to stop yuou
can use the fire or the smoke amulets while channeling
in a sense no heal should allow you to facetank and if you stand in middle of fight channel you put target on back
75 HP/s ( ~8% HP/s )
for your team
that doesnt get taken out by misc aoe

Curious OP: do you find your opinion is the same whether you are playing Spires or Ascension? Personally, I’ve found it hard to find time to heal during Spires matches - so while I try for full Dahla whenever I can in Ascension, I prefer a shattered build with her daggers and crown in Spires (because it’s hard for me to pull off the amulet heal when things are so fast paced).
Dahla amulet has infinite uses, unlike healing consumables, meaning you can out-sustain anyone that doesn’t have it or anything similar (only Hollow Crown atm but Grim crown + passive also applies) in fights that drag on long enough.
In short bloodbath fights, yeah, Dahla amulet isn’t going to get you much value.
In long drawn out slugfests, though, it can singlehandedly win you the fight as long as you play around it.
When the enemy team runs out of healing items and are having to play super safe because they’re stuck at 3/4 health and die from a stiff breeze, you and your team can keep healing.
It also means that your team isn’t limited by healing consumables, and can play slightly differently so long as you coordinate around the fact that you have dahla amulet.
I guess this is a good point. It still has value in ascension but it’s pretty bad for spires
it’s a fair observation, Crypt1c, and a huge part of why we are so excited for this Closed Beta period where we can get feedback from players. thank you for taking the time to share! ![]()
