I’ve drawn fan art of Edani for the competition. Included is a greyscale version. I’ll upload a speed paint video on discord (i can’t upload videos in this forum).
Everything was drawn during the competition period.
I started with a sketch, added color, then refined the shading. I only used a standard round brush which is available in most digital painting programs.
The text in the background and on the dress is the same as the text on Edani’s original 3D model and key art.
I tried to have the most contrast and detail on the face and hands, so these parts would stand out more (better seen in the greyscale version).
The original painting was created with a transparent background in mind for discord (just personal preference). I designed the text to remain readable on any background because most programs display the transparent parts of PNGs in different colors.
The drawing took about 8h 24min (only counting the time my pen was on the canvas). I used the art program Procreate.
