Coming from other battle royale type games it would be cool/nice after my team die/loses, if I could choose to spectate the rest of the match. As past few games played it just auto kicks me to stats instead of being able to watch other players finish it out.

You can press N at the end of match screen to spectate! There is a button for that at the bottom of the screen. If you click play again as well, you can queue up for the next match while spectating. If you wish to only spectate for the rest of the match, you can just select spectate but don’t click on play again. Hope that helps!
