There’s an avalanche of amazing events going on, which is so, so great! I’m a little concerned this might be a whole lot for brand new and even previously-experienced players to the game to take in. Think about the experience coming into the game via Steam.. and what path they might take to identify with and filter into events suited to their interests or profile.
Is there already-existing tech in-game that can help present an easy-to-digest calendar somewhere? If not, would it be possible to set up a bi-weekly calendar on maybe the Forums, then link to the Calendar by way of Steam + Discord + In-game? Something to help guide people a bit, and remember: Not everyone uses Discord!
We have at least the following events to track globally now:
- Main Closed-Beta Spires windows
- Regional Ascension windows
- Two different tournaments
- Multiple community days
- Tower hour(s)
The blog posts here is a great list but this is a bit like reading an eye chart, right? Constructively, I think we might be able to help draw in additional folks as the beta comes online to the branches of the community, who aren’t already familiar with all the nuances, with an alternate way to digest this. <3
